The Artist Behind the Brush
As a young girl, I became very interested in art shows and crafts. I was that kid you always saw drawing. However, It wasn't until I left my home country of Colombia and moved to Canada at the age of 12 that I dived deeper into the world of art. As a young immigrant, my english was almost non-existent and with not much of an option for speaking, art truly became my language. I began experimenting with pastels, acrylics, oils, pottery, sculptures, you name it! Once I reached a comfortable conversational english I began volunteering at different local art galleries and took all the art classes I could. Through many high-school (and some university) art courses I was able to expand on that talent extensively. Shortly after starting my first year of University I got engaged and married the love of my life (Mitch). Since then we have welcomed four beautiful children into the world and adopted two family dogs into our home. I took a break during my early stages of motherhood to be able to focus on my family more. It was a necessary step in my life and I am grateful to have had the chance to do that. Recently, with the baby years becoming more distant and more time available. I made it my goal to start doing more things I love. As soon as I had the chance, I jumped at the opportunity to get back to my old talents and grow more as an artist. I recently took an interest in water-

Hi there! I'm Daniela, I am 30 years young, happily married and a mom of four. I was born in the beautiful country of Colombia and immigrated to Canada at the age of 12. I love painting landscapes and plants. I am lucky to call Wallaceburg, Ontario my home. It's a priviledge to be able to explore and paint the beautiful areas in and surrounding Chatham-Kent.
colours and it has been an incredible experience. I have also thoroughly enjoyed working with Oils and Acrylics in the past. You will likely see a mix of those three mediums as I continue to grow my art collection. I have also recently spent a significant amount of time learning about the process of creating art prints. I've spent countless hours photographing, editing, and uploading my digitized art work in order to be able to add art prints to my list of services. It is truly magical to be able to recreate the art you love and be able to offer it to people in more affordable ways. I've had a buried dream of starting a little art shop for a long time now, it was always in the back of my mind and something I wished to do at some point in my life. I’m thankful to be able to do this online through my website and social media. Art has been a part of my life for a very long time and I am forever grateful to the people who have been there with me along the way and encouraged me to pursue my artistic and creative side. With all that, I hope you find inspiration in my art and prints, maybe you'll find one you love. And if you do, I will be thrilled for you, and I hope it can be a little joy to last you a lifetime. Wish you all the best, and I hope our paths cross again!
